As founder of Bocci Engineering, Lianne’s entrepreneurial spirit is the foundation behind the company’s success, diversity and talent. She brings to Bocci a career of more than 25 years in the energy industry and several executive level connections through corporate relations, advisory, and board officer roles. Lianne leads Bocci to provide high quality, engineering services in the area of process optimization, energy generation, transmission, and distribution, emissions reductions, clean and renewable energy, and energy efficiency. Her vision for Bocci, her passion for innovation, and her drive have built a scalable business.
Previously Lianne held positions as Vice-President of Business Development for an energy risk consultancy, as a Principal Consultant for a firm providing asset risk optimization services in oil, gas and utility, and as a national Director. Her prior employers include Enron and Trigen. She led efforts to perform project risk analysis, development, design and optimization for multi-billion dollar international development projects in the energy and petrochemical industries. Lianne structured, negotiated and developed bundled multi-million dollar energy and operations solution service deals for national industrial and manufacturing portfolios, and she was instrumental in new product development, market research, mergers & acquisitions. Her oil & gas client projects ranged pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC projects including Sakhalin & Kizomba with ExxonMobil, Burnaby LSG with Chevron, Marlin with BP, Magnolia Gas with ConocoPhillips, Alba-Equatorial Guinea with Marathon.
Her most recent major developments have accomplished high ROI with cross application of energy and water infrastructure optimization, as well as emerging environmental technologies. She has led integrated project efforts for industrials including Chevron, PepsiCo, Maximus, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, and Nucor Steel, and for institutions such as DOE, UTMB, and University of Maryland. Lianne has been published numerous times regarding clean tech research and innovative sustainable energy projects. She regularly is requested to present and speak as an expert in energy risk strategy and as a mentor for minority, women and small business programs.
Lianne is an active community member, donating her time and expertise as a mentor and tutor for youth in science and math and passionately supports scholarship and science career development initiatives. She holds a mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech, is a Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, and Certified Energy Auditor. Lianne is married to long time partner R. S. Skievaski, and together they live on a small ranch in Cypress, Texas. Together they enjoy a multitude of adopted rescue animals, board horses, and Lianne competes in state wide endurance equestrian events with her favorite being the 50 mile AERC distance rides.
